‘MOCO challenges you to exceed your limits and discover new ways to approach performance. That wouldn’t be possible if it wasn't for the support of Miche and the MOCO team, who do everything in their power to create a professional environment where you feel safe to take risks’
MOCO was born in The Bicycle Shop, one balmy afternoon, in the late summer of 2016. The following spring, our first production, A Clockwork Orange, by Anthony Burgess opened at The Shoe Factory, with an all-male company of nine young actors aged between 18-25.
Our VISION is to empower young people to embrace new possibilities and believe in themselves and their futures.
Our MISSION is to support and showcase our all-male company of actors, using a brave relevant text in an immersive, site-specific venue. Part installation, part performance, our projects aim to promote dialogue, engagement and understanding of male mental health issues affecting young men.
Our PURPOSE is to discover diverse new talent through ensemble work and social inclusion. We will continue to develop and produce opportunities to challenge art form and bring together outstanding local creatives to take on inspired and artistic challenges
